Typical is tough, however it is greeting everyone you see, checking the computer for emails and calendars of course.. Prepping for group, scheduled appointments in and out of office, meetings, groups, and stopping in others offices to ask now they are, what they did that evening, etc... There is so much to showing kindness.

I work with families with infants from birth to 3 years with developmental disabilities or who are at risk for delay. This would include infants with a diagnosis, such as Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Autism or an infant born prematurely or with medical needs. A typical work day would include a variety of activities such as coordinating community services, making referrals, home visiting, developmental assessments, playgroups, infant massage groups, and joint visits with the family and the physical therapist, speech pathologist or Occupational therapist. My job is always interesting with new learning opportunities on a daily basis. I have been in my job for 24 years now and it has always been exceptionally rewarding.
